STORY OF OUR DREAMY JOURNEY: 

Satkhira district is situated in the south-west coastal region of Bangladesh where most people are deprived of socio-economic development. Natural disasters affect on the area frequently due to the geographical location and impact of worldwide climate change. Those incidents are backwarding the socio-economic condition of the community. The inhabitants are suffering for living due to the job scarcity and no option for industrialization. The agriculture sector is not progressing due to the lack of modern technological knowledge of farmers, increased salinity, and loss the cultivable land by grabbing the expanded shrimp farming and meeting the needs of population growth. The people are living with illiteracy, and social irregularities that are violating human rights, and the respective authorities cannot protect against rights violations due to the poor governance system.

To overcome the situation, some young and socially committed people have taken the initiative and started a dreamy journey toward an inclusive and living-friendly society. In the path, CRESENT was the one stone that they turned on in 2002 as a social and community-leading non-profit organization. The organization is helping the socially dedicated volunteers as a lighthouse on their development journey. Nowadays, CRESENT is lighting society through the development flame with the support of GOB, community, and development partners.
