Prevention of Human Trafficking and Safe Migration Program:

Satkhira is a border district of Bangladesh. This district is used as one of the routes for human trafficking. Every year, many women, men, children, and adolescents from other districts, including Satkhira, are trafficked into India through the different borders of this district. Also, many men and women are victims of trafficking due to unsafe migration. The Crescent organization has been implementing various programs with Rights Jessore to prevent human trafficking since 2005. Among these programs, community meetings, yard meetings, school orientations, and stage drama are being implemented on a larger scale to increase awareness. Crescent organization is serving as a member of the District Human Trafficking Prevention Committee.
